Pieceoff.

The multiplayer jigsaw where the video keeps playing on every goddamn piece. Solve it together. Try not to hate each other.

Free. Apache-2.0. Written in Rust. Runs on Linux now, Windows & macOS still being tested.

A fist exploding into jigsaw pieces

yes, you can drag these. go on, grab one.

Grab a piece.

Drag, pan, zoom. Shared board, loose-piece tray, edge filters, and an Arrange button for when 400 pieces is a mistake you made on purpose.

Snap that shit.

Neighbors lock and move as a group. Grab a piece and it's yours until you let go. Touch someone else's and the server tells you to piss off. That's called a lease. It's a feature.

Watch it move.

Not a photo. The host runs play, pause, seek, loop and speed for the whole room, and every single piece keeps playing. Yes, it's as distracting as it sounds.

Real gameplay. Not a mockup. Not pretty. Works.

Everyone moves. Nobody collides.

Rooms live on a server that actually knows who's holding what. Rage quit mid-puzzle? Come back and the board's exactly where you left it, you quitter.

try it → three fake players are solving the board. You can grab pieces and drop them wherever you want.

Fake players. Real engine.

Bring your own shit.

Cut a puzzle from whatever made the group chat lose it. Guests grab the room's media or use a matching copy they already have.

Photos

Still images work just like video, decoded natively in Rust. Your cat is a jigsaw now.

Video

MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM and a pile more. Use the whole clip or pick a loop. FFmpeg does the heavy lifting.

Loops

GIF, APNG, animated WebP. Endless, hypnotic, deeply unhelpful for solving anything. Eight originals ship free.

Two cartoon players losing it over an exploding jigsaw

Built for rage quits.

Somebody always takes the last corner piece and acts smug about it. PieceOff saves the room on the server every time a piece drops, so when you slam the laptop shut, nothing's lost but your dignity.

Go ruin a friendship

Your room.
Eight characters.

No accounts. No emails. No bullshit. A room is an invite code and a server address. Friends type it in and they're on the board.

Example code. Real ones are random.

Run your own server, or let us.

It's one small process, a ~10 MiB binary. Host it yourself under Apache-2.0, commercial use included. Can't be arsed? Hosted rooms are coming. Not live. No pricing yet. Tell us you want it.
